Day 3 of scrambled eggs.

actually, i said yesterday that i wanted to get the maid to cook the scrambled eggs today. but then, i got my mum to buy some ham yesterday so i decided to try once more.

today i woke up earlier so my mum was around to help me. some things were changed, like the amount of butter and milk. then, mum toasted the ham to get the xtra water off. after adding the ham, i think i got a bigger portion lol.

so everything went down. this time i put butter on the pan first, not together with the egg; coz my mum told me like that better. lol, ended up like the way my mum makes it. slightly harder and more "chunky" than what i would have preferred. maybe i set the fire a lil too big, or the ham was in the way. guess i will try again tomorrow and cut the ham into smaller pieces xD.

and dont worry, im using those non-stick type of pan to cook.. i tink.

eating time: wow, the ham like not salty at all -.- and i thought it could replace the salt that i didnt put lol. mum added some salt for me after i put on the pepper. wah, the salt like just nice. how she sprinkle until so zhun?? in the end i tink the salt and pepper saved this chunky ham scrambled eggs lol. cannot see pepper like yesterday picture coz this is more zoomed out.



lol, saw my orange shrimp (currently the largest shrimp in the tank) stick on the tank glass there. very rare, lol since it prefers to be on something more "grappable". zhao geng leh.

rather happy.

why am i happy? dont really know. ok maybe becoz i just ate a rather fulfilling breakfast made by me.. with the maid helping me a lil xD. well i was craving for some fast food-type of scrambled eggs. then, i came across a video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU_B3QNu_Ks

then, i decided to make my own, since it looked simple enough.

for the first day, yesterday, i just followed the video's style of cooking. i did not really follow the ingredients. just used 2 eggs, some olive butter spread or something in place of butter and HL milk lol. mixed the thing and put it over a small fire, stirring constantly. but the eggs small ah, end up oso not much. then some stick onto the pan. a lil watery when it came up but still acceptable for me. lol, then when i eat halfway, i remembered abt salt and pepper. could have forgone salt for me, but why did i have to forget pepper.

today was better IMO. my mum had bought some bigger eggs when she heard i was like "interested" to make scrambled eggs. so today, i was equipped with "the power to do more" xD. yummy, ended up with a bigger serving and i also made it more cooked. i will post today's egg picture coz im proud of it =p. with pepper and a teeeeeeny bit of salt. should have put more salt though..



tomorrow i tell maid make lol.. coz she stand at the side help me control fire (i cant reach the turning thing =/), she should know how to make liao. basically just small fire.

another thing, lol. i got another tank. half the size of the previous one. father set it up. man, i love my family. thats the tank for the CPOs. the cute dwarf crayfishes. now still cycling the water.

Some stuff happened..

nothing SERIOUS happened. well, completed another round of chemo. hair dropped, from last chemo's.

went out with my family for dinner last nite, happy and simple meal :). valentine's day but we didnt go anywhere REALLY special. we just ordered food from those seafood kitchen type of stall. 4 dishes, 1 soup. $42. cheaper coz usually we would order a crab there, coming up to $60+. tried out 1 "new" dish.. damn nice. some golden sand pork ribs or something. lol, then my parents went to see some void deck valentine programme.. for aunties and uncles. they left early haha.

currently in a so-so mood. i would be happy if i didnt find out that i lost a fish and a shrimp (only one of that type in my tank), IN ONE NITE!

overall i lost 2 colorful fishes, 3 shrimps, 1 snail including my first casualty. now, i think the tank has settled down a little. the shrimps seem more active and the fishes more "controlled". the losses mite be a blessing in disguise.

oh ya, a lil spider made its web between the lamp and some branches. wind blew it away during the nite lol. got other spider make web there before and actually caught something, but i didnt take picture.

MY FIRST REAL CASUALTY!!! ONE CHERRY SHRIMP DIED! no idea why :(. saw fishies nibbling on it this morning -.-

ah, added 2 more shrimps.. a long-nose and an orange. wanted to get a nano tank and get one or two mexican dwarf crayfish(CPO). but i cant find a spot in my house for now, so.. maybe next time. they are like $20 each so must be careful lol. they are dam cute, gonna find a picture of them.

oh ya, i went to pasir ris farmway area with george yam and my father. mr yam brought us there. went around to different ones but i felt that the first one was the best. lol. still, no many shrimps around. =/.

aw not shrimp eggs.

well, the eggs i saw were not shrimp eggs.. but they were snail eggs! wonder how many already hatched. i know got 2 already, since i saw two spots which can move lol. den when u look really closely, its a baby snail!

i bought 3 small colorful fishes and the boss gave me 2 extra lousy ones, so now i got 5 small fishes. i kind of regret it, since they disturb my shrimps sometimes. nevermind, since i think they add life and color to the tank. edit: oh, those fishes are actually called "endler's livebearer"!. the colourful ones are male and the not colorful ones are female. no wonder the uncle gave me 2 free females, coz if not the males would fight (if i read correctly).

oh ya, i got to see a shrimp molting lol. i tot like butterfly slowly come out from cocoon.. but for shrimps, they just POP! lol then the shell fly off, shrimp swim away. happened right in front of my eyes. made me go "WOW!" coz i first time see haha.

yep, went down to tampines to look at shrimps today and.. bought a tank! full setup with water, plants and shrimps! everything! well, no joy of setting up everything but i get the joy of almost hassle-free shrimp rearing now!

not intending to breed them, but it seems like got eggs liao leh o.o the tank was set up for like 2 weeks le, then i just bought it from the shop today.
